Church-going survey
A survey by Radio Rhema has disclosed,, .that more people attend church services than hadj previously been thought. rj j ■ The station • telephoned 1700 people over the period from February to June, and found that 35 per cent of them had attended church at least once in the previous month. Of this figure, 5 per cent said they had attended a special service, such as a wedding, rather than a regular service. 1
The survey disclosed that more elderly people were regular church-goers; 48. per cent of those aged 55 and over had attended at least once a month. Women were more religiously inclined than men, the survey disclosed; 42 per ceqt of those surveyed had attended church at least once a month, while only 27 per cent of males had gone to church during the same period.
