Company’s good start
PA Auckland Rogerson Racing and Breeding Stables, Ltd, made an auspicious start at the wek-end when Giovanni won at Wanganui and Taiscar ran third at Avondale. The recently-formed company was being represented for the first time on Saturday. One other runner, Omana, finished eighth. The company’s string of horses is headed by Giovanni, which had won .five faces before his change of ownership.
Taiscar and Omana are among eight two-year-olds the group owns, a well as a broodmare in foal.
