Voting forms
Sir, — The new-look ballot forms should change the established practice of the candidates’ names appearing in strict alphabetical order, thus giving an obvious. advantage to those whose surnames begin -with an early letter of the alphabet. Candidates’ names, regardless of political affiliation, should appear precisely as drawn “out of the hat.” This would, of course, give all candidates an equal opportunity of appearing early on the list, a method fair to all. — Yours, etc.,
R. V. SHAW. August 12, 1980.
