School uniforms
Sir, — I am pleased to read that there are a few school pupils such as Chrys Horn (August 12) using their common sense and realising that dark parkas and raincoats in school colours are dangerous. As an Australian here for a short period, I was amazed to notice that safety yellow coats and rainwear are not used here as they are in Australia. Safety must come before uniform neatness surely. — Yours, etc;/' '' ' ■ ; '
(Mrs) CARMEL McRAE. August 12, 1980.
