Anti-abortion song

Sir, — Thank you for referring my letter to Mr Richard Berry, of Radio Rhema for comment. My question re whether other radio stations would play this record, was not answered. Richard Berry says: “We continually endeavour to respect our listeners’ sensitivity in moral and spiritual areas.” In my opinion the recording of the antiabortion song, “The Big A and the Big M,” selects and respects only what it chooses, and not all life. Radio Rhema has again played this record. The announcer politely suggested that those who disliked it need not listen, or could turn off their radios. By turning off, or not listening, they were inviting the listeners to exercise an option which their supporters had before them, but did not see as reasonable and so in two recent events (film, “The Life of Brian,” and television “McPhail and Gadsby bn religion”) their convictions led them to act, as do mine now. — Yours, etc. COLLEEN BELL.
