Candidates should be able to teach and supervice research in descriptive linguistics, including phonology, grammar and field methods, and in comparative linguistics; and should have research interests in the Pacific or be prepared to develop such interests. The appointee will be required to teach in the area of Information Science for the Department’s Postgraduate Diploma Programme and to assist in developing its research programme.
