PA Auckland A search for three young people missing in thick bush and cold wintry conditions in the Waitakeres will resume at first light this morning. A. party of 24 will search tracks near the Cascade waterfall where the three youths, members of a Mangere family, are expected to have spent a miserable night. A four-hour search for the trio, Raewyn Altena, aged 17, her brother Ronald, aged 15, and sister, Michelle, aged 12, of Mangere, was called off at 10.30 last night. The three had gone into the area some time during the afternoon while out for a Sunday drive. The Auckland Regional Authority ranger at the park noticed their car still in the car-park about 6 p.m. He alerted the police who sent a search party into the area about 7 p.m.
