Labour seeks say
PA Auckland The Labour Party will seek to be represented at the Commission of Inquiry into the Marginal Lands Board loan to Mr and Mrs Fitzgerald, the son-in-law and daughter of the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Maclntyre). The Deputy Leader of the Opposition (Mr Lange) said the party had “information which the forums of the House are not the appropriate vehicle to throw about.”
I It will be up to the oneIman commission, a former Supreme Court judge, Mr J. R. Mills, to decide who can be represented. No date has yet been set for the first sitting of the commission. It has to report by September 30. The Minister of Justice (Mr McLay) said that organising counsel and venues had taken longer than expected but the commission would probably begin preliminary hearings in 10 days to two weeks.
