PA Wellington A man has been fined $l4O in the District Court at Wellington after a woman saw him wearing her son’s trousers. Edward Victor Saywell, aged 21, a painter, admitted stealing a pair erf jeans, worth $l5, on May 28. Saywell had been painting at the complainant’s house when the jeans went missing from the clothes-line, Sergeant W. T. Jaques said. Next day, the owner’s mother saw Saywell wearing the jeans in the street and reported him to the police.
