Israel group’s new name
The Friends of Israel Association held its first national conference at Massey University at Queen’s Birthday weekend.
Fifty delegates attended. The group’s name was changed from the New Zealand-Israel Association to emphasise its nonpolitical nature. Mr G. Olds was elected the first national chairman.
A cultural conference will be held by the association next year.
