Pioneer agreement
PA Auckland The Auckland Harbour Board Employees’ Union is poised to sign on agreement with the board’s mid-man-agement staff which, it says, could pioneer similar agreements.
The agreement, which is expected to be signed soon, will cover about 140 administrative, technical, supervisory and other midmanagement officials.
The union secretary (Mr
R. Turnbull) said: “Thesa people have elected to be linked to the Harbour Board ' Union award for pay increases. The agreements covers mid-management staff whose terms and condi* tions of employment hava not been put in writing.” Mr Tumbull said the agreement was voluntary! certain people could join oij leave the union according' to their classification.
