Namibian visit
PA Wellington' A mission of nine from the United Nations Council for Namibia would start a four-day visit to New Zealand today, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Mr Talboys) yesterday. The mission, led by an ambassador, Mr Orhan Eralp, of Turkey, would spend two days in Wellington, explaining the work of the council and outlining its various activities, Mr Talbovs said. The United Nations Coun-

This followed a decision by the United Nations General Assembly in 1966 to end South Africa’s mandate over the territory. The council reports annually to the United Nations on progress towards independence for Namibia, coordinates aid to that counand acts as trustee of the United Nations fund for Namibia.
