Gelignite found
A food flask containing two sticks of gelignite was discovered in a Lower Hutt supermarket last evening.
The flask was in the store’s butchery department. The explosives, without detonators, were wrapped in a plastic bag and jammed in the flask. After they were found the police cordoned off two streets for 20 minutes while a member of an Army bomb disposal squad removed them.
