Minister to marry
PA New Plymouth The Minister of Lands and member of Parliament for Waitotara, Mr V. S. Young, who is 51, will marry Miss Catherine Dunlop, of Auckland, at old St Paul’s Cathedral in Wellington late next month.
The date of the wedding has not yet been announced. Miss Dunlop is the second daughter of Mr and Mrs I. C. Dunlop, who farm at Tokaora. near Hawera. Mr Dunlop is a prominent member of the National Party.
Miss Dunlop runs a thoroughbred bloodstock promotion agency. She worked for several years for Wrightson N.M.A.’s bloodstock division and spent some time in Britain and Zimbabwe before returning to New Zealand to start her own busines.s Mr Young and his family have known Miss Dunlop for some years. After their marriage she will continue to manage her business from their home in Wellington, and Hawera; Mr Young is divorced.
