Cycling title win
Ron Clayton, the consistent Tinwald veteran, was not long in winning his first open cash cycling race of the season. Clayton led home his comarker, John Calder, in the DB Riccarton open 40km, and Barry Collett took third place from tlie fastest juniors, Bevan Gyde and Barry Hulbert.
Steve Doherty again won fastest time in . the field of 37, which included riders from South Canterbury and the West Coast, but which was dominated by Tinwald and Hornby club riders. Results:—
