No Lance lie
A second charge in the 33count bank fraud indictment against the former Federal Budget Director, Bert Lance, and three fellow defendants has fallen. A federal judge has found that Lance and a co-defendant, Thomas Mitchell, did not lie to an Atlanta, Georgia, bank. After a similar ruling last week on a conspiracy charge, the decision by United States District Court Judge Charles Moye left 31 bank-fraud allegations against Lance and his three associates to be considered by the jury. — Atlanta.
