Embassy raid
Geurrillas belonging to the same group that is holding 28 diplomats hostage in the Dominican Republiq. embassy in Bogota charged -‘into the Uruguayan embassy yesterday, but fled when they could not find the acting ambassador, according to police sources. They said the three or four raiders had apparently planned to kidnap the Charge d’Affaires (Mr Raul Lira), but he had not been in the building, and they had left after a few minutes without injuring any embassy staff. It was believed' the guerrillas had been acting in reprisal for the escape of the Uruguayan, Ambassador (Mr Fernando' Gomez Fyns) from the occur pied Dominican embassy.-^' Bogota.
