Basketball officials
Two Christchuirch basketball officials, Robin Milligan, and Joyce Phillips, have been appointed to positions with the New Zealand men’s and women’s teams which will play in tournaments in Taipei next month. Mr Milligan, a referee, is one of six international referees in New Zealand, and will officiate in the men’s tournament from May 10 to 21. It is his first tour overseas although he refereed in
• the New Zealand-Australia; series in 1978. ■ Mrs Phillips, a past pre-, ; ident of the Canterbury Bas- > ketball Association, will i manage the women’s team that will play in the Taipei tournament from May 26 to; ; June 6. Russell Henwood of I Christchurch has been ; named manager of the; New, Zealand junior men’s team to play an international, series against Australia in i July.
