Hurricane warning
PA Auckland The Meteorological Service in Auckland last night warned that Hurricane Sina will move down the west coast of northern New Zealand and hit Auckland late tonight if it stays on its present course. The hurricane is expected to be centred west
of Cape Reinga early this afternoon and to bring strong north-east gales and heavy rain to the northern half of the North Island until tomorrow evening. It is likely to continue down the west coast but developments beyond tomorrow are unpredictable, the Meteorological Service said.
