Flight ban at Mt Cook
Climbers are prohibited from being landed at high altitude airstrips to stay in huts in the Mount Cook National Park when huts are overcrowded.
This summer, 50 people spent a night in Plateau Hut, which has only 22 bunks, and the Mount Cook National Park Board has imposed the restriction.
