Wreckage sighted
A United States Air Force helicopter returned from heavily-forested mountain country in north-east Philippines with a piece of metal which was thought might be from the wreckage of three missing Singapore Air Force Skyhawks. A search party spotted metal debris in the mountain forest country in / north-east Philippines on Monday but bad weather has prevented helicopters from landing. The three/ Skyhawks "disappeared two weeks ago, 15 minutes after leaving Clark Air Base on a training flight. They were feared to have crashed into a mountain in heavy cloud—Manila.
