The temperature was I ”4deg at midnight on | Monday, with a high of 28deg on Christmas Day I as Christchurch sweltered I in warm north-westerly I conditions. A spokesman for the Meteorological Office said the wind in Christchurch changed to the south-west about 2 p.m. yesterday. Temperatures ranged from 23dee at 7 a.m. to 28dea recorded at 10 a.m and 2 i P-m.
