A total of 871,900 shares was traded on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, including 251,300 special sales. The total was 304,600 more than on Monday. Industrial shares totalled 852,500 (566,200 on Monday), and 19,400 mining and oil shares were traded (1100 on Monday). A total of 160 issues was traded.
