Canoe trip starts
PA Invercargill Two canoeists, Paul Caffyn and Max Reynolds, got off to a fast start on their circumnavigation of Stewart Island yesterday. In their 5m Nordkapp canoes, Mr Caffyn, of Grey-
! mouth, and Mr Reynolds, of Nelson, crossed the 32.2 km • Foveaux Strait in just over : four hours and a half. They will set off on the : 225 km voyage around the island this morning. The trip i is expected to take between ■ 10 days and two weeks.
