A well drilled Otago pack and skilled backs proved too much for Canterbury in their crucial match in section •: 1 of the South Island under 18 rugby tournament at Ashburton yesterday. Otago won 13-0 with tries to Barry Taylor and Dave Dibson, one converted by Kevin Galliven, who added a penalty goal. Canterbury handicapped itself by running across field and failing to control tapped lineout ball. In the afternoon, however, an injury hit Otago had no answer to the pace of Mid-Canterbury backs, and Canterbury, also with injury problems, scored all its points in the final quarter against Nelson Bays.
