Rights code awaited
Heads of hospital departments are still . considering the implications of a proposed code of rights for patients in the North Canterbury Hospital Board’s area.
The code has been on the board’s agenda for more than a year. The board’s acting chief executive (Mr G. W. Davies) told the institutions committee that some departmental heads were perhaps taking the code too seriously.
He agreed, however, that it was too important an issue to force through.
