“Holocaust”
Sir, — Most New Zealanders will be horrified at the horror treatment perpetrated by the Nazi S.S. on the Jews during our enlightened age, as depicted in the television programme, “Holocaust.” We ask ourselves, why did not the average German object to the treatment of the Jews, as they must have known what was going on. It was my misfortune to be in Germany in the months before and after V.E. Day and I spoke to many Germans on this subject and I now ask: Are we any less culpable at this time as we watch the wreckers slowly destroy New Zealand, as thev most surelv are. and
which we say we cannot as individuals do anything about? — Yours, etc., W. HARRIS. July 6, 1979.
