REVIEW OF INVESTMENT
Various forms of investment will be examined at a farm investment seminar, which will be held by the Aibury-Cave branch- of Federated- Farmers in the Cave Hall beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, and continuing until mid-after-noon that day.
Proceedings will open with the regional advisory officer of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr D. G. Reynolds, posing the question: why invest in farming? Following him will be a sharebroker of Timaru. Mr D. Satterthwaite, and an accountant of Timaru, Mr A. Hubbard, on off-farm
investment, then Mr G. Laney, of the Forest Service in Ashburton, on farm forestry as an investment, Mr Mark Acland, of Mount Peel station, on farm development as an investment, and
finally Mr D. Armstrong, a farm consultant of Pleasant Point, on exotic stock and crops as an investment. Light luncheon will be available.
