Skydiving
Sir, — As a result of the recent sky diving deaths in Westland, a spokesman from the Parachutists’ Association
made the statement that parachuting is a very safe sport and that a life is lost on an average of one in 40,000 jumps. Apply these same statistics to the number of times I drive my car and it would be reasonable to assume I would be dead in less than four vears.—Yours, etc., K. B. RHODES. June 14, 1979.
