T. J. Edmonds

Sir, — On reading your articles on June 12, about T. J. Edmonds, I feel I must write and tell you he not only made excellent baking powder, he also made many crippled children happy, way back in 1920. Every Saturday he called at Ward 9, in the Christchurch Hospital to take four children and a nurse for an outing in his car. I do not know how

many years he continued to do this. A popular trip was to the pier at New Brighton. I have a photograph of one such event taken by this kind man. — Yours, etc., E. HAYWOOD. June 12, 1979.
