Schoolboy cricket

Christchurch has three representatives In the New Zealand secondary schoolboys’ cricket team to compete in the Kookaburra Shield competition at Adelaide next summer.

Linwood High School has two players in the 14-man squad. They are Rod Latham, who was in the team which took part in last years’ tournament at Christchurch, and Brian Davidson. The third player is Michael Fronting, an opening bowler from Christchurch Boys’ High School. The team will be captained by Martin Crowe, one
