PA Wellington A blossoming of Wellington rugby youth emerged at Levin yesterday as a makeshift side beat Horowhenua, 28-7. With nine changes from the team which beat Wanganui on May 15, Wellington, containiing many promising youngsters, impressed in the five tries to one win, Wellington led, 11-7, at halftime. For Wellington, Paul Williams, Grant Gederwall, Jim Morgan (2), Warrick Procter scored tries, while Allan Hewson kicked two penalties and Brian Cederwall a conversion.
For Horowhenua, Lindsay Robinson scared a try. and Mark Liddicoat drop-kicked a goal.
