Quick arrest
Three youths were arrested less than five minutes after the Linwood East Bowling Club’s rooms in Stanmore Road had been broken into last evening.
An alert member of the public had seen the burglary, which occurred just after 7 p.m., and had been able to give a detailed description of the offenders and their car, a police spokesman said. The car and the three youths were apprehended, empty-handed, a few blocks from the clubhouse.
The youths will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning charged with burglary.
