Labour men ill
PA Wellington Two Labour members would not be at the opening of Parliament next week because of illness, said the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Rowling) yesterday. They are Mr M. K Moore (Papanui) and Mr B. G. Barclay (Christchurch Central). Mr Barclay has been ill since February but said recently that his health was improving. Mr Rowling said that Mr Moore, who has also been unwell for some time, had telephoned him yesterday morning to say that the latest medical report on his condition was “very favourable” and that he was progressing well. Mr Rowling said that the Labour member for Porirua (Dr G. A. Wall) would be at the opening of Parliament but would have to return to hospital “relatively soon” for further surgery.
