Flooding measures
Sir, — With interest I read the article in the Drainage Board feature (“The Press,” November 23) concerning the flooding in Barrington Street. It seems to me to be a case of putting the cart before the horse. The Heathcote is already overburdened and until the Woolston cut goes through, any improvement in Barrington Street can only be at the expense of compounding the problems in Clarendon Terrace. —Yours, etc., R. DEBONNAIRE. November 27, 1978.
