Witnesses sought
The Ministry of Transport still seeks witnesses to a hit-and-run accident in Oxford Terrace, outside the Grenadier Tavern, at 11.15 p.m. on Friday. i Lindsay Sweeney, aged 33, of Purchase Street, St Albans, suffered severe leg injuries when he was struck by a ; green 1970 Holden station i waggon with a white roof. i
He was moved from the: intensive-care unit of Christchurch Hospital to a ward yesterday, but was still reported to be in a serious condition last evening. The Ministry of Transport wants to hear from anybody who saw the accident or has seen the car, which may have damage to its left front.
