PA New Plymouth Last year’s New Zealand Gold Star hill-climb champion, Paul Barnard (Waipukurau), gat away to a flying start in this year’s series when he won the first round held by the Taranaki Car Club. He was driving a 1600 cu cm Begg-Lotus.
