The economy

Sir, — Unlike J. F. Garvey (October 20) after reading “The Amazing Doctor Muldoon” in the light of the true situation (misrepresented in the pamphlet), one sees a picture of a sick New Zealand economy after three years each of both a National and Labour Government. We are told fibw the amazing Dr Muldoon is nursing New Zealand’s economy back to health — without major surgery. Is this to imply that the amazing doctor is not qualified to perform the economic surgery it needs? Is he just another charlatan? Does he practise quackery? Does the voter know? Does the voter want to know or does he just sit and look through his own party-politi-cal-coloured glasses? — Yours, etc.,

G. R. MUIR October 20, 1978.
