Barrington withdraws
PA Auckland Jonah Barrington, still attempting to regain full fitness, has withdrawn from the New Zealand squash open tournament which begins at the North Shore club today. His place will be taken by Kevin Wright, who plays for the University club. However, the Australian contingent of Geoff Hunt. Kevin Shawcross, Cam Nancarrow, and Ken Hiscoe will play, although the latter two are not expected until Wednesday. Also being played at the North Shore club will be the first ever New Zealand women’s open tournament, which begins on FriI day.
