Wrong shot
A Corsican football supporter has heen jailed for three months for shooting the ball to prevent the opponents of his side from scoring, reports NZPA, quoting Agence France Presse. The incident happened when Jean-Marc Luccheti, a follower of the Corsican club, Calenzana, travelled to Murato, near Bastia, last April 23 to see his team play in a local match.
Seeing the ball rolling towards his side’s goal, Luccheti pulled out a small pistol, took aim, and fired. His shot hit the ball and prevented it from entering the net. The game subsequently broke up in confusion and the police were called. Luccheti assured the Court at the hearing last Friday that he had used blank cartridges.
