Cure back in ` winners’ circle
The resurgence of the Kaiapoi rtfwing chib, Cure, was noted at Kerrs Reach yesterday when its novice eight beat a combined AvonCanterbury crew by a distance in a 1000 m race. Cure started training much earlier than the Ch. ’ ‘church crews and the novices have obviously come on well in eight weeks. In another race postponed from Saturday Avon beat Union by about four lengths in an open eights race contested over 1500 m. Canterbury was third.
