Visit by U.S. ship
Sir, — I think it should fie clear to everybody, that it is good strategy for any big power to distribute its naval bases around the world. In case of conflict, the atom missiles will hit the bases and not the motherland. I expect we will soon have more “friendly” visits, and also soon will be asked, if we would like to be “protected” by a naval base. I can do without an atom bomb, and so can my little granddaughter; therefore my answer is, “Get out.” — Yours, etc., KRISTIAN JENSEN. August 24, 1978.
