Town Hall poll
The Wellington City Council w'ill go ahead with raising a SSM loan for its planned new town hall — but it may still be stopped by a ratepayers poll. A council meeting has confirmed its intention to raise the loan, at a 10.5 per cent interest rate. The loan proposal, sparked the call for a poll to determine whether the commitment was too great.
