'Sect linked to bombing’
NZPA Sydney A man has alleged that a member of the Ananda Marga religious sect had admitted being involved with i two other members of thej sect in the Hilton Hotel! bombing in Sydney in February. Richard John Seary said in the Sydney Central Court of Petty Sessions he had been told the explosive had been wrapped in newspaper and placed in a white cloth bag. One man had checked the crowd outside the Hilton and the bomb had then been put in the bin. Seary, aged 26, of no fixed address was giving evidence at the committal proceedings against three men charged with conspiring to murder the leader of the Australian National Front, Robert John Cameron. Allister and Dunn are also charged with attempting to murder two detectives and with attempting to cause grievious bodily harm to them.
