Extradition order
PA Auckland An order for the extradition to Australia of an Auckland company director was made by Mr J. R. Callander, S.M., in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court yesterday. He was Graeme Lyall Cann, aged 37. A warrant issued by an Australian magistrate charges him with importing cannabis into Australia earlier this year. At the close of the extradition proceedings, Mr P. A. Williams, for Cann, said he intended to appeal against the Magistrate’s order. Proceedings were begun against a second man, Bruce Hamilton Gemmell, aged 32, but were adjourned until today.
