Waitangi at the port of ■ Liverpool for the past three jweeks, unable to unload or leave. The NZPA has learned that the vessel, one of two conventional (non-container) ships run by the State-; owned corporation on the! , United Kingdom run, had I been lying idle in the port (since May 30. The ship is loaded with : more than 4000 tonnes of re- ; frigerated produce, mainly (butter, but has been unable Ito discharge any cargo because of a pay dispute between the dock cold store and its employees. The N.Z. Waitangi is not! j connected with the dispute,■ but a picket line at the dock | gates prevents transport ( .from entering to collect the! i cargo, and the vessel has| been prevented from leaving’ I port.
