Job applications
Sir, — Congratulations to Miss J. L. Radcliffe (June 21) on finding a job. I am sure her employer has found a good worker. Employers who might say, “I will let you know,” and do not, are not worth worrying about. They are the losers, because Miss Radcliffe now knows what they are like, and on reflection, would she work for them anyway? I have found that the man who realises the employees he wants, says so. He also says so if he does not — during the interview. Common courtesy costs nothing and if it cannot be afforded during an interview. then people should look elsewhere. — Yours, etc.. R. M. SKINNER.
