Two other Taiwanese players also scored totals of 216 for the tournament, but in view of the steamy heat that continued throughout the three days, the players decided against holding a play-off for the . second position. The Taiwanese team easllv won the teams’ section of the event, with an aggregate score of 641, compared with 656 for New Zealand, and 701 for the P.N.G. No. 1 side, which look third place.
