Incident at accident
A policeman and a Ministry of Transport traffic officer from Twize! needed medical attention for facial injuries after an incident on the Twizel-Oam-aru highway about 2.15 a.m. yesterday. They had been called to a motor accident, involving one car. Neither of the car’s two occupants was injured. The injuries suffered by the two officers are not thought to be serious. A man will appear in the Magistrate’s Court at Timaru today charged with assaulting a constable, refusing to give a blood sample, and resisting arrest.
