Rams come from behind
Rams, after being contained for most of the match, drew clear in the last quarter to beat Avon, 84 (12 goals, 12 behinds) to 71 (10 goals, 11 behinds) in a highscoring, free-flowing Australian Rules football game at Wainoni Park yesterday. Mark. O’Sullivan, Chris Guthrie, Gary Simm and Barry Williams spearheaded the Rams attack and Gary Proud, Gerry Willis, Gary Gardner and Brian McLean were prominent for the losing team. Goal-scorers were.— Rams (Simm 4, Brian Fitzgerald 3, John McLean 2, Dennis O’Sullivan, Guthrie, Ken Ferries), Avon (Willis 5, McLean 2, Peter Marshall 2, Peter Morgan).
